So the past weekend at Armageddon, Marc from Actionmanadam and I held
a “Design a Monkey” competition, with over $350 worth of vinyl as prizes,
sponsored by the rad people at www.popup.co.nz (thanks guys! u ROCK!)
heres the competition form we had at the convention

We had 110 entries. 110! thats crazy! it took Marc, Marc’s partner and I
40 mins (over dinner and a beer) to sort through the entries.
We decided to pick 2 “artists” and 2 “up and coming” entries for our winners
So without further a due, here are the 6 runners ups!
RUNNER UPS






4th PLACE

Tane! Tane is 8 years old, and spent a good hour dreaming up this monkey.
How cool is it! love the rain he added too. Tane won a plush labbit!

3rd PLACE

Cameron’s ninja monkey struck a chord with us. He’s lean, mean,
and has a dancing banana as a companion. HOW RAD!
Congrats Cameron! he won a 5pack of ’stached labbits!

2nd PLACE!

Us 3 judges love the Ninja turtles, and when we saw Nick
doodling a ninja turtle-esque monkey, we were in love (well i was!)
congrats Nick! you won a earth varient Monkey King!
(limited to 600 worldwide!)

1st PLACE!

Shelley’s entry jumped right out as us. HOW RAD IS THE COLOURING!
and the attention to detail! *points to the earring* soo rad!
Congrats Shelley! you won a silver edition Monkey king,
limited to 150 worldwide! (woah!)

Thanks again to all that stopped by our booth and entered! and thanks to
Popup for the prizes, and Marc for being rad.
Now to scheme up something for next years Armageddon..
